There's no need to change units in the xml, yowindow will understand and you'll just manage what is displayed in the widget or desktop version. As for getting it to upload, all I can offer is to make sure you have everything selected in the WD setup. Perhaps save & exit then restart WD to see if that will get it going.

I looked at your link and my city of Mansfield, Ohio displayed.
I looked at your code and you have removed your location id (geonamesid) and your town name.
Here is what your original widget code looked like.
value="location_id=gn:5487811&location_name=Rio%20Rancho&time_format=12&unit_system=us&background=#FFFFFF©right_bar=false"
I think you will be okay if you put the location id and town name back into your code.
