Wow!
Very strange, I did not expect console to be empty.
Can you try the following?
1. Press "Windows-key" + R
A run-as window will pop up.
2. Paste this path in the input field
C:\Program Files\YoWindow\yowindow.exe -d
3. Click OK
YoWindow will be launched in debug mode.
Will console window be displayed and is there anything inside of it?

Re: Licence key
Hello Par,
This gives the same result, yes the console is revealed, no, there's nothing in it.

Re: Licence key
Hello Herman,
I looked at the topic you mentioned and it looks like the same problem.
In my options.xml it says also "unlimited".
When I use the option "open as" it opens in unregistered version and with Den Haag as hometown.
When I open it normally, it opens with my own hometown.
Maybe I should delete YoWindow and all its maps and re-install?

Re: Licence key
Hey, John!
I have spent an hour testing YoWindow 3 on my XP with regular user rights.
It was working flawlessly.
I have entered my License Key and restart YoWindow.
The license was preserved.
There must be something special about your Windows XP setup or YoWindow installation.
There is another way to access the diagnostic information.
Please, can you do the following?
1. Restart YoWindow.
It is expected to start Unregistered.
2. Enter the license key.
3. Exit YoWindow with main-menu/Program/Exit (this way only!)
After this step DO NOT LAUNCH YoWindow.
Otherwise all the diagnostic information will be lost.
4. Find options.xml and log.txt files
It is located in the following folder on Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\YoWindow
Replace [your user name] with your Windows login (user) name
Send options.xml and contents of log.txt to me by email support@repkasoft.com

Re: Licence key
Hi Pasha,
Excuse me for interferring.
I just had an idea.
It wouldn't surprise me if John has some parts of YoWindow 2 and/or YoWindow 3 alpha left on his PC.
I have this feeling YoWindow 3 alpha might be the culprit.
Please John, for diagnostic reasons don't remove these yet!
Pasha, could you install any of these on your PC, to see if you can copy John's problem?
Hope this helps, if not, forgive me my ignorance.
Fred

Re: Licence key
Hello Fred,
I haven't removed anything yet.
However, in the log.txt on my computer version 2 was mentioned, in the file options.xml it said version 3 (build 61) and after i changed user-profile under Windows and back, everything works as intended (at least I think it has to do with the changing of user-profile).

Re: Licence key
I expect log.txt and options.xml to be saved in the same folder.
If it is not the case - there's something terribly wrong happens.
I wish I knew why...
It looks like switching between user profiles on the same machine produces this undesired effect.
Though, I cannot repeat it.

Re: Licence key
Hello Pasha,
Log.txt and options.xml are in the same folder.
Anyway, problem is solved, maybe by switching to another user and back.
Thanks for investigating.
