Re: Error weather
I'm having the same problem here.
It's not reading the PWS xml file ... I think.
Q: How often does YoWindow fetch the PWS xml?
I suggest adding a parameter to be able to specify 1 minute if possible i.e.
uplaod_inteval=1
.. or maybe in seconds.
I upload my xml every 20 seconds at this time.
Q: is the "Observed Time" in HH:MM or MM:SS?
Also can you turn the moon 180 deg for the southern hemisphere please?

Re: Error weather
Guys, this is the first major disaster with YoWindow.
This is really stressfull.
I don't know what has happened exactly.
I was having a party with my friends when the first reports on bad-weather started to come.
This is really stressfull.
As far as I understand METAR wetaher provider adds.aviationweather.gov have closed an access for YoWindow to METAR data.
I have directed YoWindow to the second weather provider I know - weather.noaa.gov.
However a number of locations cannot receive the data from weather.noaa.gov.
I will try to fix this tomorrow.
Once again I'm sorry.
I was hoping on adds.aviationweather.gov.
However the error cause might be different, I will find out tomorrow.

Re: Error weather
Meerkat, I will try to rotate the Moon 180 degrees for the Southern hemisphere in the next week.
So cool I have the power to turn the Moon
Do you ask about a weather widget update_interval parameter?
We already have this settings in YoWindow for the desktop.
>is the "Observed Time" in HH:MM or MM:SS?
The answer is
HH:MM
Please give me the link to your PWS XML file.

I'm aware of the update interval on the desktop ... however if I can set it faster than 1 minute that'll be cool.
I was thinking of a update interval parameter in case of a PWS for the website widget.
I know it does not make sense to have it where you get the 1hour outdated Metar data
but our PWS's are sending data frequently i.e. as frequent as 20sec or less.
It would be nice to have this.
Thanks for turning the moon.
My XML is currently php generated ... got the script from someone else but I'll make my own modifications soon for my own needs.
You can have a look at it here so long: http://www.bashewa.com/yowindow-xml.php
Re: Error weather
Okay, now works fine.
What have you done before, you have pulled the plug?

I wonder if that is a good idea to put that parameter in the widget, or in the desktop version for that matter? A popular site could get hammered every few seconds by many widgets and the site would have no control over that. My web host has already contacted me about some of my javascript update rates and mine is not a popular site. What really got them excited was when folks would camp on the page and let it go all night. Now I have a max number of updates too.
Hmmm, perhaps the minimum interval could be set in the xml thus leaving ultimate control with the xml creator/host?
